This has been a huge fad for quite awhile but I feel like it is more timeless than the harsh word of it being a “fad”…There are so many elements to the modern farmhouse that I LOVE! It’s classy, clean, classical and just makes you get the feeling that life is “in order” as you pull up to your home and enjoy the new exterior of your home!

This design can go several different ways…for example, you could add natural cedar accents to the home to make it “pop” or you could darken those accent with a Sherwin Williams deck stain that I love to use called Charwood color SuperDeck semi-transparent on the porch ceilings and or the cedar posts on your design…Keep in mind that staining of the different wood materials will have completely different outcomes when it comes to applying the stain on the different tones of the lumbar. You can really benefit from some samples on the actual types of woods that you are using!

Here is a great example of a porch ceiling that has this exact stain colors on it.’s you really bring some richness to the entry of your home and at night you’ll find some stunning warmth as guests approach the front porch!
