You do not have to be an expert photographer to help us get you an accurate replacement window quote. However, there are a few tips and tricks that will make it easier.
What we are looking for in your photos:
1. Clear photos showing all of the windows you want included in the estimate.
2. Photos as close to “straight on” to the windows as you can get.
3. The best shot you can take. If its not perfect, don’t worry, we are just trying to get an idea.
What you want…
The photos below are good examples of photos to use. Notice that we do not need a photo of each individual window. If you have several windows on the wall, try and capture all of them in a single shot. This helps because a wider shot shows size and proportion to help us with the estimate.
Back Porch – Multiple Windows
Front of House – Multiple Windows
What you don’t want…
Windows taken at an angle will distort the sizing of the windows and make it difficult to get an accurate estimate. Also, if you take a picture to capture the windows, but one is cut off, or barely visible in the picture, its gonna make it tough. The examples below give you an idea of what we put on the “No-No” list.

Photo with a window barely visible
Again, don’t worry about trying to get the perfect shot. We simply need to make sure we get all of the windows and get the most accurate size we can to get you the most accurate estimate we can. As long as you can get pictures with all of the windows, we will do our best to get you the best estimate we can!
Thank you and we look forward to working on your estimate.
