The Harts have a beautiful, comfortable, classic-style home that needed some outward improvements to help accomplish a more maintenance-free exterior that accented the house’s aesthetics.
We started by removing all of the existing siding and making repairs to the 1935 sheathing (1×10’s installed at a diagonal and nailed to the framing). They really don’t build houses like this anymore! It’s a true treasure, and we designed our project to enhance the home’s timeless style.
The bones of this home were solid, a definite benefit when we perform an exterior remodel. But we needed to find a way to provide the house with improved, extra resistance to the elements because of the sheathing. To address the need, we wrapped the siding walls in Tyvec moisture barrier prior to the installation of the James Hardie trim and straight edge shingle.
As a final stunning touch, we constructed the door, surroundings and shutters in our carpentry shop to add the perfect accent details!
“Steven anticipated our every need. When I had a question, it was immediately answered. They spent extra time to be certain I was satisfied. I found them online and chose them to interview first because of their online reviews. After speaking with Steven, I canceled other appointments and decided to give Tulsa Renew my business. The product is beautiful and I am extremely pleased with the end result, but I was most impressed with the personnel. Everyone I dealt with was courteous, personable and very competent.”
